Yes, it’s good to reconnect with people and family whom I seldom meet due to my busy life and/or them being overseas. It helps to share photos of family too. Of course, I keep several lists and fine tune the privacy settings for each list so that only those who are close and trusted get to see everything. DD1 has one too which I set up for her. All her friends are actually close family friends or family members. I made it very private so that not only you can’t see her photo, you can’t search for her too.

i have created a faceboook in jan as my DD wants to have one. I am her 1st friend 😄 . It is great as I get to see all her pics in school and outings. Also, amazing thing happened likes my Pri school best friend knows my Sec Friend etc etc. The world actually becomes smaller in Facebook.

Hmm so I am not alone...I am also about one of the rare few among all my friends who do not have a facebook account.

I have tried to \"brainwash\" my p2 son too, and he would shake his head along with me when he saw his daddy accessing his facebook account. But I am waiting for the day he would ask for it cos all his friends are having it!! The day will come...then i'd have to make sure he's educated on the risks and the dos and don'ts...

Oh… I’m sure your son will know if he really wants to join or not to join, considering the risks and the threats versus the upsides…

I joined FB cos hubby got me addicted to one of the FB games (Happy Aquarium). That game became a family affair, with my 6 year old daughter volunteering to help clean my tank and feed the fishes.

Then my friends starting linking up…and before you know it, those embarrassing school yearbook photos started surfacing…and everyone can see you at your fattest/"pimply-est", etc.

It is a nice way to keep up with your pals and find long lost friends without having to make an effort to email / call. Great way to catch up on gossip too!

my dh also has fb a/c…and he is v addicted to the games!!!
me not keen on the games…find them too distracting…just want to have a way to keep in touch with old friends/schoolmates/colleagues/etc…
