Oh. I think my kids have been written off by the school. Run will fall. Ball games will sprain fingers and wrist.

Hi-5. My DS also in Lalaland... maybe they are good friends there :rahrah:Am I the only one not started any revisions at all, not even SA1......
Cham lah, starting to get worried now but my kid still in lalaland. Honestly wanted to ask if any kids can get by well enough simply by being diligent with schoolwork? -

Is she busy due to the Nationals Inter-School and the SYF? It will be over soonImp75:
yes so how can I bear to squeeze in revision time, already hw is piling up.
there is no way you can squeeze in anymore on your side to preserve any sanity and prevent burnt out. just hope her 5x of sports/dance activities will end soon.

Quitting job, taking no pay leave, renting a home nearby, engaging private tutors for intensive coaching...all these are only possible for the privileged. Illustrates why students will never be on a level playing field.
Agreed but that's life :stupid: -

It's just more exercise class - Somewhat like those NS who went back for their yearly test and failed. Then more classes and retake till you pass. Guess schools trying their best to make these kids at least pass their NAPFA,Sorry what class? I know my DD is always failing NAPFA. DS wants to do well for NAPFA so that can get into a sports CCA.
Both also fail Arts all the time. -
may I know when do kids start doing the Napfa test? at upper primary and on yearly basis?

Thanks to this thread for the early warning. Meaning if I want to do something I better do it in these 2 years. čē¶å å :faint:
Depends on your dd's school schedule in upper primary. Not necessarily must drop everything lah
Mine staying back in school thrice a week this semester. So that itself is time commitment liao
If still go for high time commitment stuff like preparing for piano exam, will affect rest time.
Cannot lah. I forbid delaying bedtime. So I only allow playing piano leisurely. At least own time own target. Need to have sufficient rest time. Very important in my opinion.

NAPFA test - yes, it is stressing my P6 boy too. He was just saying how glad he was that his birthday is closer to the end of the year, so he still belongs to the 11 year-old age category.
My DS1 in Sec 2 also have NAPFA now. He is also stressed becos like DS1 there are certain components he is weak in.
I feel very sorry for both of them. They are in the midst of preparing for SA1 and have this to worry about at the back of their minds. I have told them to take it easy but they both feel pressured (mostly self-imposed) to perform.
I am just doing my best to provide encouragement and moral support. Looking forward to NAPFA being over!
