It's just more exercise class - Somewhat like those NS who went back for their yearly test and failed. Then more classes and retake till you pass. Guess schools trying their best to make these kids at least pass their NAPFA,Sorry what class? I know my DD is always failing NAPFA. DS wants to do well for NAPFA so that can get into a sports CCA.
Both also fail Arts all the time. -
may I know when do kids start doing the Napfa test? at upper primary and on yearly basis?

Thanks to this thread for the early warning. Meaning if I want to do something I better do it in these 2 years. 考状元呀 :faint:
Depends on your dd's school schedule in upper primary. Not necessarily must drop everything lah
Mine staying back in school thrice a week this semester. So that itself is time commitment liao
If still go for high time commitment stuff like preparing for piano exam, will affect rest time.
Cannot lah. I forbid delaying bedtime. So I only allow playing piano leisurely. At least own time own target. Need to have sufficient rest time. Very important in my opinion.

NAPFA test - yes, it is stressing my P6 boy too. He was just saying how glad he was that his birthday is closer to the end of the year, so he still belongs to the 11 year-old age category.
My DS1 in Sec 2 also have NAPFA now. He is also stressed becos like DS1 there are certain components he is weak in.
I feel very sorry for both of them. They are in the midst of preparing for SA1 and have this to worry about at the back of their minds. I have told them to take it easy but they both feel pressured (mostly self-imposed) to perform.
I am just doing my best to provide encouragement and moral support. Looking forward to NAPFA being over! -

my son in Sec 4 was just informed of NAPFA on thursday...he has common tests this week! planning of NAPFA dates is really poor :stupid: it's conducted right before SA1 :siao: this is unnecessary stress because failure in certain components mean there is some ridiculous class which i associate as 'punishment'.My DS1 in Sec 2 also have NAPFA now. oh dear, usually very near exam time, we would like our kids to have better rest..hopefully no under hot sun or long time under hot sun.

Spartanmum, what diff would a year end child have on the NAPFA thing? something like test due only after 10th/12th birthday?NAPFA test - yes, it is stressing my P6 boy too. MrsKiasu:
daughter was so worried she will fail certain components of the NAPFA...insisted hubby bring her to practise standing broad jump and shuttle run yesterday. if injections can be done in P5 now, why can't NAPFA be conducted last year as well? person in charge of planning needs to be aware that this is creating unnecessary pressure for the P6s to have NAPFA during this crucial year.
