My DD SA1 starting from next week, everyday she comes home with bundles of home work from school and don’t have much time for revision. I feel very bad when i look at her, but i try to make out time for small wishes that she asks to make her feel more comfortable and to relieve stress. As a parent that is what we can do now.

Is it norm to have so much homework even till the last week before SA?
My DS also has tons of papers given by teachers, until I cannot follow which is new and which is old. Some still unmarked! Leave it to my DS to manage on his own. If teachers can't finish marking, how would the children know their mistakes before exam?
He told me he doesn't have time to do the assessment I bought for him. Stressed but don't know how to help. -
i was quite surprised when my DS brought printed answer sheets for her class worksheets and the teacher told students to mark at home. later teacher will go through all the questions. i doubt how many she can go through if she can’t find time explaining the questions.

My DD is only doing her daily homework from school. Not doing revisions at all. SA will begin next week.

for science, daughter is given past year exam papers for homework...30 MCQs. for english, school worksheets...maths would be school worksheets and/or from math workbook. wonder why are schools pumping kids with so much homework when there is SA...unless they feel this is THE WAY to revise.
