MY friend told me Hsbc has a step up bonus promotion Starting May 3 2016
You need to deposit at least $200K to open hsbcPremier acct and
it is a 1.8% p.a. on next 90 days of adb of at least 200k comparing with 0 dollar in april account as a reference month
However after 90 days, the normal 0.1% interest rate will apply.
To game the system ,can consider pay $ 50 early termination fee to end the Premier account Early AS you need to hold the account for six months to avoid paying the $ 50
So it works out to 1.7% for 200k for 3 months if you pay penalty $50 and close account after 3 months
there is a potential additional 0.7% to be earned fon the 1st 100k of the 200k if you used the debit card and spend more $500 retail per month
She also said some of the hsbc phone CSO are not familiar with the above scheme and for such important matters ask for their full name and time and date as have encountered before other bank Cso with fake name -
