I bought 2 copies of each below by accident via online so the following set that I am selling totally brand new!

      1. Beyond the Myth: The Story of Joan of Arc (SCGS recommended book for lower sec)

      2. All Things Bright and Beautiful (SCGS recommended book for lower sec).

There are other books that I had an extra copy that was posted in the garage sale section. Feel free to take a look. If you want I can show you the 2 sets so rest assured they are brand new & untouched

Give me a reasonable offer. I may be able to deliver to your place if it is convenient

Are you talking about the T-score? Because everyone is subjected to the same T-score

              Blue Pearl:
How is the chance for girls from other schools to enter this school if they are not from SCGS Primary school.

              a) for afffliated pupils (from SCGS primary) :

Cut off point (COP), 220 :
can go back to SCGS Secondary, for O level.

              b) for Non-affliated pupils (ie. not from SCGS primary) :

chance, will depend on your daughter's T-score.

based on latest PSLE 2015 (last year) :-
              COP for O level (4 years) : 252 T-score

              COP for IP program (6 years) : 253 T-score
(difference between IP and O level COP : just 1 point, only)

              source of info
(compiled by diligent icy_mama (KSP), for a list of Secondary schools) :-

however, 2020 PSLE (girls born in 2008) :
is the final, last batch of students, still assessed under the old T-score system.

come 2021 (girls born in 2009), onwards :
the new PSLE banding system takes over, T-score become history (obsolete).

              http://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/e ... -from-2021

              as of today -
uncertain how affliation turn out in future, from 2021 onwards.
P6 (parents & students) won't be able to know, what is their child's T-score, anymore.

However, assuming that affliation will remain, with the new 5th non-academic subject coming in (CCA) to be evaluated upon as well, wondering aloud what kind of minimum Banding critieria, will the school set for future affliation batch(es) ?

will future become easier or more difficult, compared to current criteria, which require T-score 220 (affliation) ? :?

Does anyone know how many students are shortlisted for interview for SCGS DSA(Academic) and how many are usually selected for Secondary school from them ? And what do they look for in a student during interview ?

                  cindylauper:

Anyone knows what tye of sweater/jacket is allowed? Since her uniform is sleeveless, the air-con bus she takes to school can be a bit chilly.

Yeah, why must the school come out with a sleeveless uniform ?

Don't the girls feel uncomfortable ?

Feel uncomfortable when they reach puberty where armbip hair develops?

I just wanted to know if SCGS is a good choice for my daughter to go next year. She’s from a non-affiliated neighbourhood school and is seen as being reserved and quiet by most people. This is because she has been bullied by a number of girls in her primary school and she has lost many friends. But she’s academically excellent and she doesn’t wish to go to MGS or RGS because she would like to be in a slower-paced environment. She gets along with people really easily if they’re nice to her. She’s the top scorer for English every year since she was in primary 1 and she is very good in mathematics and science too. Her Chinese is a little weaker than English but she manages to score As and even A*s. She scores either distinction/merit for HMT. It’ll take her about 45min to travel to SCGS via public transport (and she doesn’t mind it because we have traveled there before for the open house). It takes her only 15min if she travels by our car but some days I may need her to use public transport. I’m expecting her to score at least 265< for PSLE. Please reply.
