sec school at bukit panjang

Hi there, I realised this forum talks more about elite school than neighbourhood school.

I feel that you can consider West Spring. I went to their open house 2 years back during my son’s PSLE time and they gave me a very good impression. -
my eldest girl was in west spring. but there is a huge difference from their NA and NT. In term of NT, Zhenghua and Greenridge is better? Or any other recomended nearby sec school? I am asking for my second girl.

You may consider Bukit Panjang High School.

It’s important to know and understand about strength and weakness of your child before making selection of school (either via DSA or PSLE’s result).
Parents may consider to visit schools during their open house in order to know more about Applied Learning Programme (ALP) and Learning for Life Programme (LLP) of each school. Some schools emphasize Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM), some schools emphasize business and entrepreneurship development, some schools emphasize visual art and etc. Please note that schools tend to nurture all students from Express, Normal (Academic) and Normal (Technical) through such programmes.
It’s advisable to attend principal’s talk during open house in order to know better about direction of each school as such information may not available via School Information System/Selection of Secondary School Booklet.
In fact, it’s learning attitude of student that determines his/her future. Students equip with good attitude - self-disciplined, self-directed and self-determined will definitely have brighter future than those lack of good attitude.
Students will be demoralized if they keep on being tail of cohort. It’s important for students to maintain high level of self-confidence.
Some students suit for IP, some suit for Express, some suit for Normal (Academic) and some suit for Normal (Technical). If a student equips with only Suzuki engine but is asked/forced to choose a course which the student must equip with Ferrari engine. Do you think this student will excel during next few years?
As such, it’s important for parents to know their children’s abilities well in order to make right decision.
