Mindstretcher is one. They have a Power Up for PSLE for the 4 subjects. Usually a full day session for each subject, ~9.30-4.30pm. I am not sure what goes on in there since I have never tried and will not be signing up for this June either.

Most tuition/enrichment Centres should also have similar PSLE prep Programmes during the June holidays.

I don’t know about you… but I have heard comments from mommies and daddies with older children than our dears born 2004 that their standard is relatively lower especially for math. Have you noticed?

From my dd’s school, it seems to be so. Year after year, looking at the trend of students, it seems like the foundation for this batch of kids is not that strong. Or perhaps the standard is getting higher making them look weaker than previous batches? Hmmm…

irabbit, I agree with you! Tough papers are indeed very demoralising for the kid and some may just lose confidence totally. Sigh.

I guess Parents will need to provide more emotional support and motivation to our DC...for them to continue to persevere and to have the 'never give up' mentality.

i think it's the standard is higher now...so the kids have problems coping.
my son took psle in 2012 and he said sister's math level is harder.

I relate to one incident my colleague told me. She shared half her boy's P5 classmates in a HA class failed CL exam. I can't imagine what's the stats like for MA classes then. :slapshead:

I'm all for differentiation as top students need to be academically challenged. But some schs carry it too far. :spank:

tell me how we can avoid the stress of PSLE when even mid year papers are so tough? there is prelims after this...cannot bochap right? confidence is the main ingredient to keep our kids going.
