How old is your daughter now and can you share how are the lessons taught in Kip Mcgrath? Does they goes according to the school syllabus and What is the fee? Why you need to send her to 2 centers?

My dd now P3 is slow and weak in her maths. She needs a tuition that can goes according to her pace. Tried other tuition centre b4 and she unable to catch up with their pace ,so she don't likes to goes for her maths tuition. Thks!

Hi elmokid07, my daughter is 8. I send her to the centre in TPY lor 7 only. The 2 centres I posted are run by the same people, so they have the same tutors. I would prefer good tutors than centres and since i got to know they run to these 2 centres only i share for others convenience.

She is very weak in her math. After a test done by them, they sat me down and explained to me they would start from the basic. Like filling up the gaps she has in school. There are some computer activities too. (i think it is great because she cant sit still! haha) The lessons given to her now are based on how to catch up in school, so she wont feel left out. Subsequently as she gets better they would do a new lesson plan for her. All of which are based on MOE syllabus.
They mentioned that it is a class of 5 students max. Really small group, which i like too.

Anyway, I am very disappointed that my daughters’ tuition center has not responded, almost 1 week since they asked me to write in. I can only blame it on bad luck that out of so many Math tuition centers, I picked this one! I can only conclude that this center is really just interested to talk to parents whose kids have done well in their SA1 so that they can publish the "achievement", telling the whole world how amazing they are. When other people shared their stories, I took it like a pinch of salt but now that it happened to my daughters, I finally understand what they meant.

My friends send their kids for brain training instead of maths tuition . It helps them to be motivated,improve study and thinking skills. They did improve academically .



My friends told me a lot of centres are franchised,like KM, MS,KRTC........they are the bosses of some of them Different centres have different standard

Any feedback for classes at TLL? don’t seem to get any feedback with regards to the quality of their teachers and materials. I understand that their syllabus are tougher but that’s about it. Will it be worth the investment? My little one is in N2. appreciate any kind feedback. TIA !

Hi, is anyone planning to sign up your child for P6 Maths intensive workshop in this June holiday?

I managed to secure the last seat for a 3 days Maths workshop for my child from 15-17 June from 10-3pm. The workshop will be teaching the following:

Whole Numbers
Ratio Fractions
Percentage
Understanding of important concepts
Problem Solving Strategies
Avoid careless mistakes
Circles and Speed

However, my child has a last minute supplementary class in school and could not attend.
