Hi! I am looking for a female, very experienced and qualified piano teacher to teach my DS who is 4 years old. He has been playing the violin singe 3.5 years old and recommended by violin teacher to learn piano as well. We r staying in a sengkang. I will bring him over to your place if you r within sengkang, hougang, AMK area. A teacher who has plenty of patience and good in handling young children preferred. Pls PM me. Thanks in advance !

My child is with Teacher Priscilla.
I feel that sometimes her explanation is not very clear.....
When my child do her MPM work at home, I still need to explain to her how to do it.

I fully agree that Teacher Alicia is more business person.

I wonder if there are any parents who have P4 or P5 child at MPM @ Chong Pang? Teacher Priscilla teach until which primary level?

My little one is 4 years old have been with them for a term or two for both jelic and MPM. He has been with teacher priscilla and teacher Alicia. Didn't benefit at all from either of them. Teacher Alicia is certainly very business minded and teacher priscilla, though she's a nice lady she can't quite communicate her ideas to younger kids. She seems to brag a lot of her own teaching methods and how good she is but honestly I feel that none if it is true. Initially it was very convincing but after a while I realise that it's just empty talk and more of bragging of how good she is compared to other centers bringing down other centers. Thus I left after about 2 terms.

Hi my kid is quite reserved in speaking and socialize... do you think its a good idea to send her to speech and drama ? She is 6 and next year will be P1 .. just worry if i send her to speech and drama, she may feel inferior when seeing others speaking so well .... any recommendations please..

You may want to consider to send her to a show and tell class. It's prepares the child for primary school. I would think that may be more relevant then speech and drams classes. I am sending my DS to learning journey (located in serangoon) show and tell - public speaking class. Class size is small and the teachers are pretty passionate in what they do. You will always get feedback from the teacher after every lesson and you will also get a video of their presentation during class to your watsap in your phone. In fact I was pretty impress with them. Hi giraffeviolin, I've no experience w Punggol SAFRA. But these were e lesson components for TienHsia N2 a short while back...

(1) 看图识字 说一说
Let's say the lesson aims to teach 桌子 & 椅子. The illustrated sentence goes:
教室里有桌子，教室里也有椅子。
(2) 口语训练
桌子旁边有两把椅子。
(3) 听力训练
(4) 小小加油站 (=儿歌)
(5) 字卡

Whereas these components below occur in alternate lessons.
(6) 看看图，说说句
Let's say the lesson aims to teach 茶; the illustrated sentence goes:
我给妈妈倒杯茶
(7) 连一连
(8) 写一写 (=笔画)
(9) 听故事，学一学 记一记
A short story 小熊的小桌椅 is written to teach the words 桌子,椅子. Additional words are highlighted: 毛巾, 画画. At the end of the story session, there is 听故事 回答问题
(10) 小测验
Once a term check on the child's learning progress. Results (test paper) come with a brief personal report card.
(11) 发表会
Once a term, to showcase the songs the children learnt. They recite/sing individually & in groups.

N2 Term 1 Vocabulary
大，小，上，下，天，地，青草，花朵，妈妈，爸爸，哥哥，姐姐，妹妹，弟弟，蚂蚁，公园。

N2 Term 2 Vocabulary

Thank you so much for the above info. So it seems like they r pretty similar with hua cheng. My DS is currently with hua cheng, but recently he has been refusing to go for classes. How are the quality of teachers in tien hsia?
