Yes, it is normal to have a drop from P5 to P6. Whether it is normal to have 31 points, I guess the best person to check is DC teacher and classmates. The SA1 papers could be set very difficult hence 31 marks may be acceptable. Voice your concerns at the PTM, or if PTM is already over, drop an email to the form teacher.
A drastic drop of 31pts in the TA for P6 semester 1, compared to P5 results.. :faint:
Is this even normal  ? -

there are a few mums also having kids sitting for PSLE and O levels this year. my son has gone through a major exam once, so he is more mature to think and study on his own...just have to monitor him - don't slack and don't get burnt out before that. next monday O levels for Chinese.Oh My Gosh:

I will actually be very worried. Maybe you can look at his papers, find out where his weak areas are and target them during this holiday? There is still time.

I'm not sure bout other schools. Regardless of the difficulty level, the teachers will usu advise us to look at where the problems are and rework/review the assignments. So basically we still have to settle the problem ourselves.
We are going to start formal review of all lower pri sci for 1st week, upp pri sci for 2nd+3rd week. Review all the pri 5 and 6 chinese and higher chinese chpts, 1 chpt per subj a day.
Dd did pretty decently for Maths Sciences and Chinese considering the lack of revision time.
Her English paper 2 was rather bad (15-point drop), thankfully the rest were good. I hv no idea how to improve paper 2 apart from drills so we will probably intensify the drills.
All the best to P6ers! -

What is TA? Total aggregate?
Did the school give you median for benchmarking? If median lower then you know that was due to tougher papers being set. -
hi mummies,
do your kids have supplementary lessons in june? wonder what will be taught or done :scratchhead: -
Only 2 mornings of supplementary. Conducting normal lessons
-
Only first week of the holidays. Combination of lessons and revision.

Supplementary weeks for a week, 4 hours a day (an hour for each subjects). I spoke to the teachers... basically they will be teaching as much of the remaining topics, so that more time can be used for revisions when school reopens.hi mummies,
