      RafflesianSnr:
Go through papers first, then got many miscellaneous things for gap sem: meeting teacher mentors, going for sessions on how to make the most out of their gap sem experience.

Thank you, RafflesianSnr. I guess there will be no time for family holiday.

Why not wait and see the results first?

Sorry, I can’t help with recommendations.

I don’t think hoping for good results is very realistic, at least for my daughter. She has already prepared me for the worst by warning me that results in this first set of tests are usually bad! I told her that as long as she has lots of company it should be OK, and she should just soldier on.

I told my DS the same. So long as can pass is good enuf.

If have common tests in week 1, it looks like we can't go anywhere in June holiday in Year 5. Year 6 needless to say.

You can still go for breaks at the beginning of June break and come back promptly to mug

The hols are 4 weeks, so you can still plan on a short break. My daughter had a camp the first week as well as several other CCA/church/social events, and we took a 4-day weekend break. She still had more than 2 weeks (interspersed with the various events) for studying. If they stay on top their work during term time and concentrate hard while revising, they shouldn't need 4 whole weeks. And the break was a good \"carrot\".

Next year, she is definitely planning on going to church camp, Yr6 or no Yr6.

DS told me he would try his best not to fail any subject. Guess the teachers have already warned them that this first exam in JC will be a massive massacre. :nailbite:

GP was over and done with last term. Tomorrow is MT papers, and majority of the students are exempted.

3 papers down, 2 more to go. I think most of the students are left with Math & Chem papers on Thurs & Fri respectively.
