Anyone’s child in edufirst sc? Any comment on the basc?


We are planning to put my boys into this sc and like to find out more abt the centre.

Hi parents,


I am going to register for my elder son for P1 this year, my first choice is Seng Kang Green (<1km), given the fact that SKG is over subscribed heavily last year (need to ballot even stay within 1km). I’d need to have a backup plan. Below are the backup schools I shortlisted (based on past year result, should still have vacancy for 2C supp). Can parents here give me your thoughts about the schools and if you were me how would you set the back up priority? Thanks for your advice， much appreciated.

Fernvale primary school (<1km)
Palm View primary school (>1km, <2km)
Springdale primary school (>1km, <2km)
Anchor Green primary school(>1km, <2km)
Seng Kang primary school (>2km)

My boy will be registering for Phase 1 @ SKGPS. Regarding alternative plans, I would definitely go for Springdale or Palm View. Fernvale Pri will never be an option for me.

This is my dilemma as Fernvale is within walking distance, the other two are not. Btw, may I know why Fernvale is not an option for you? Any comment on the school? I read that the school has changed the principal.

I’m registering for my child at Phase 2C as well, maybe Sengkang Green. What is it about Fernvale Primary which seems unfavourable? Also can I ask if the chance of getting to a school more than 1km but less than 2km is the same as a school within the 1km?

For those who stay within 1km will have priority over those stay more than 1km but less than 2km.

It depends on demand and supply i think. If a school is not so sought after, >2km also can get in.
