Suggestion for parents who wants to place their kids in student care Centre affiliated to the school. I.e. The one at the void deck

Do a comparison w the one at Giant and you will find a vast difference.
The one above giant is more disciplined and they do not allow tv and computer games during school term.
As for the affiliated one at void deck I shall reserve my comments on them.

my hubby is alumni of MBS and consider to enroll our kids to MBS.

I’m happy to know that MBS is a SAP school that offers higher Chinese.

I saw in one post that one parent is missing the ex principal. I’m just curious about how is the principal managing the school?

is she students oriented?

and pls pardon me, no offense really. we are a Christian family, is there any weekly buddhist teachings that every students have to attend? or we can be exempted?

Actually I wanted to consider MBS this year but I heard from my neighbor the students got to bow down to Buddha during assembly. I confirmed this fact via email with the school earlier this year. And in the schools there are Buddha statues whereby students are told to bow down similarly when they see the Buddha statue. Although Christian students can be exempted, I am afraid my son will cave in to 'peer pressure' that's why I decided not to choose this school. Such a pity I got to give up MBS

I don't think so. The construction of the new block only started in Dec last year. Unlikely they can finish the construction work by end this year. The latest I heard is sometime mid next year, the new blk might be ready. So fastest I think would be in 2018.

There is some kind of Buddist study but from I know, it's not compulsory. Based on what I know, there are children who didn't attend & they would be brought to library for story telling.

However, if you're concerned about the child bowing to Buddha, like another parent mentioned in an earlier post, then you might wish to reconsider. However, I don't think they're very strict that your child must bow, not forgetting there are teachers of other religions.
