Yes, you are right, posting results will be released on 18 Dec week, usually on Tue, then you are required to report to your posted secondary school on Thur that week. If you are not around, you will have to assign someone to help with the secondary school reporting.

Note that the reporting will include students and parents briefing, purchase of uniforms and textbooks, as well as admin stuff like providing student and family particulars, setting up GIRO for school fees, or even some orientation briefing and others, eg. choosing T-shirt size for orientation.

I thought it was Dec 22 (S1 posting results) and 23 (report to sch) last year. They deliberately kept the window period for transfers short (Xmas eve than Xmas) so that parents would just accept the results?

Oh dear, I have arranged for holidays from mid to near Xmas.

Imp75, last week of Dec starts on 25 Dec (Sun), so school posting and reporting not likely to be in the week. So it has to be the week earlier starting 18 Dec (Sun). Posting results likely to be 20-21 Dec with school reporting 21-22 Dec. I know they usually do this in middle of week rather than start or end of week.

Imp75, I understand from fren that you have to assign a proxy to report. That was what was required when she enquired from her DD's school. Maybe need to call school to be sure.

                  Thanks for the feedback.

Anyway, we have to change our travelling plans. Initially wanted to go to Europe so that can go for longer days from mid to 26th Dec. Now have to change venue to Asia. But, I guess the earliest we will come back is still 21st. Hee… I have studied the last four years exam release dates, S1 posting results and reporting dates. My guess is that the S1 posting results would most likely be 21st or 22nd Dec with S1 reporting dates on 22nd or 23rd Dec.

How I wish MOE can fixed the dates and let known to everyone in advance!! Don’t we always plan our schedules/timetable way in advance?

I have written to MOE (twice) to complain about the fact that they have not confirmed the date of release of the PSLE results. The website still states Nov 24-28th. How can they not know? How can a big machine like MOE not be able to set a deadline and stick to it? Their official response is \"The release date is usually confirmed after all the processes are completed and checked, which is usually a few days before the date of release of results. Once confirmed, the dates will be announced through the media

We have an extreme situation in our company we have C-level management visiting from overseas the week beginning November 21st and three of our APAC management team have P6 children, meaning that the agenda for the week has to work around the possibility of the three of us being unavailable on either the Thursday or the Friday. What kind of an impression of Singapore does that give?

My view is that MOE is showing zero consideration for the parents as well as for the secondary schools who need to plan Open Days and for enquiries coming in from prospective parents/students.

If anyone else wants to add their voice please go to https://www.moe.gov.sg/faq/feedback . We may not be able to change it for ourselves but maybe we can for those coming along behind us (or for ourselves next time around if we have younger children!).
