      Belle:

And for those who are exempted from MT, how is it calculated?

regarding calculation of scores for those exempted from MT, only MOE would know how to compute. the principal said that during daughter's p6 briefing.

prelim dates just released...starting with prelim oral end of this month.

My niece is exempted from MT. My sister was told by the school teacher that it will be based on the average of the 3 other subjects to compute the PSLE score.

Can anyone kindly advise what is the weightage for each subject to determine the T-score? Do EL and MT have higher weightage than Math and Science? And for those who are exempted from MT, how is it calculated?

          All subjects have equal weightage.
Not sure about MT exemption .

The onus should not be on knowing how the T-score is calculated, and then try to strategise around that.
Students, being at such a young age, should uphold values on doing their best instead.

          Regards,

            yup.
every exam is important. that should be the mentality every student has.

the lowest is the t score of the last student admitted to school, therefore it is the cut off point.
The other statistics are for yr reference , some may want to know what is the average strength of the cohort.

we are a group of JC students who are conducting a research on the reading habits of primary school children in Singapore for our H1 Project Work. DD falling sick during this period is stressing me out :frustrated: 😢 . Missed school for 2 days last week. I can't imagine the amount of homework she will bring back today :nailbite:

Just 2 weeks to Prelims and she had to fall sick, to be honest I was really angry. Then I told myself, better now than 2 weeks later... I should be thinking \"Heng ah, never miss Prelims\"
