2016 P1 Registration Exercise for 2017 In-Take

It's anybody's guess right now.
Thanks. But I'm within the 1-2km range so I wonder if there's still a need for balloting?
Looking at the take up rate so far,
my gut feel is that it will be same as
previous year to ballot for > 2km.
But then again, if my gut feel had always
been accurate, I would have been rich
playing the stock market.

call the sch lo
scenario 1
assume all 2B taken up = 46 slots gone
nothing you can do about it anyway, since you can't join this phase
46 slots for 2C
then assuming this year and last year similar (thats the only assumption at this point)
http://www.rosyth.moe.edu.sg/cos/o.x?c= ... &rid=78756
last year, 90 within 1km, competing for 36 places.
form you own conclusion for this year.
scenario 2
Assume only 30 slots taken up = 16 slots carried forward to 2C
46+16 = 62
using last years number of within 1km (90 kids)
form you own conclusion for this year.
my 2 cents.
unless you stay within 1km (2C also lucky draw leh)
or qualifies for 2B (or better phases)
you should seriously look for alternatives -

Sigh... my son is bouncing happilly around not realizing the stress his parents are going through right now. -

SJIJ also wouldn't reveal the breakdown. I'm 1-2km from SJIJ so keeping fingers all crossed. This whole registration thing will come back and haunt me again next year when I register for my girl at IJTP under Phase 2B <1km.
go down and check the white board. believe they have it there. did you see the pm? -
2B is a phase which I think even principals themselves can’t predict…they know the number of PVs (if there is), but don’t know the numbers for church/clan…there are some who ask MP to write letters which fall under 2B.
all the best to parents registering under 2B. -

wait for the 2B to finish before you look at the numbers again. Many unknowns only increase anxiety. -
Hi,
I am new here and joining group as my daughter to register P1 this year, my 2nd & 3rd born in year 2012 & 2015.
We are SPR, and only able register at 2C
Is 27 Jul open for SPR as well which our home is less than 1 KM from school, if application greater than vacancy, our turn only after SC fill up.
SH Leong -
parents are stressed over p1 registration while the kids are happily bouncing around…their stress will begin when they start p1 because it’s no longer a honeymoon.
