Thanks doraemo! Do we have to pay for the games or is it only for the food? I know the lunch is catered but that’s okay, we’re not gonna eat there. But if my kids see the games, I’m sure they’ll wanna play. Can use cash or there are coupons on sale on that day?

              Tri-mum:
Hi watchthewaves, most of the time the worksheets are done in school unless they can't finish it then they will have to bring it home to complete it. SMSP will not download the gals with many homeworks. So far, my gal only brought home Math homework thrice and english writing twice.

Yes, they have personal locker outside the classroom and the workbooks are usually keep by teachers. So far, my gal put her Chinese and Math textbook in her bag because I don't allow her to leave them in the locker so that I can go thru with her anytime I want. The rest like CME/music/art&craft material can be kept in the locker.
              Thanks!

I'd like to hear from parents with daughters from any level (the higher the level, the better I guess, because you would have more experience to draw on), to get a sense of how you feel on:

              (1) Student development:
              (a) academically,
              (b) CCA, and
              (c) character.

              (2) Teachers (how are they?).

              (3) Strengths and weaknesses of the school.

Also, when you speak to friends with kids in other schools, how do you feel the school stands?

My desire is for schools that care for the character of the student while at the same time, finding ways to motivate students to challenge themselves academically. Character-building cannot be an excuse for poor academic results. (I'm just stating my own desire of schools in general here, just to put a context to my questions above. I'm not making any comment on any school at all.)

If you prefer not to share publicly, please PM me. Thanks.

                Hi,

Does anyone know how to teach the maths? It’s all so different from when we were in primary school in the 1970s. Is there any place or any body conducting workshops we could attend or have websites we can learn from?

                    my view

no matter where ever you send them for extra class ..... pls make them sit and practice what ever they studied at school.
actually for this age you can buy work books at popular make them practice topic by topic with the school. you can buy practice test papers to review. stress free option.

by the way is there any exams for p1 in may?
