Not sure the type of advise you are seeking for.ptb7476:
I need advise on two school which is Mee Toh and Horizon primary school. any good advise on these two school. I see that vacancy for 2C is lot.
i am surprised MT still got so much vacancy .. i tot it will be as hot as HIPS
Anyway if you look on 1 sole number, it may not give you a full picture.
MTS Left 110
HPS Left 81
Please refer to the below link on the applicants for both school last year:
http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/event ... n-phase-2c
The take up rate in 2016 is lower than 2015, but the number of applicants for MTS in 2015 was 135 and HPS was 129 and balloting conducted for within 1km. One should expect balloting within 1km for 2016 as well.
:nailbite: so it will be based on luck already -

Maryg, Kuo Chuan historically ballots at 1-2km. Last two years, no chance for ballot at 1-2km as <1km fills up the seats exactly. See history here:
http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/content/bishan
However, the take up rate for tiger babies from earlier phases is lower this year. Guess you have the monitor the stats for these two schools and decide on the last day? Teck ghee <1 km should be quite safe.
Hi MOM2ij,
which means we can only monitor on the first two days right? Then on the third day we have to decide whether in the morning or afternoon theres no difference right ? because the system doesn't show updates on the 3rd day, am i right? Thanks. -

If I'm not wrong, updates on the 3rd day will only be on the evening of the 3rd day which will be of no real benefit for most parents except for those trying for Phase 2C(S).mom2ij:

On the 3rd day, you will need to go to the schools personally and ask for the no. of SC applicants <1km and 1-2km. MOE website will not tell you the distance breakdown for day 1 and day 2 update. You can go to Bishan Primary school thread (http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum ... start=1720). Lexy has given his prelim thoughts on KCCPS balloting history. Hope this helps! -
need advice!! in a dilema whether to try register at Poi Ching or just register and ballot at St hilda’s.
Poi Ching - 1-2KM from my house, left 101 seats
St Hilda’s Primary - Within 1km, left 50 ( confirm need balloting for SC within 1km) -

Hi MOM2ij,
thanks for replying, i aiming for jurong east 2 schools actually, but want to see which has a higher chance to get in. i am just not sure about how people monitor the system and decide on the 3rd day... can i ask you by end of 2nd day, what useful indication will we get from the MOE website to help us make decision? On third day, we still need to go down to the 2 schools which we aiming for to see which has the higher chance right?
THanks a million. :rahrah: -
Hi Ruhuasee,
MOE website will tell you no. of applicants vs available seats. Guess it can give you an indication of how oversubscribed or undersubscribed a school is. But ppl could be watching stats and applying only on 3rd day morning. That’s why P1 registration is such a stressful event! -
Does anyone know if registration through P1-IS can be withdrawn online on Friday?
