Maybe next year somebody will write an app that gives real-time updates. That would be super helpful…

Any updates on Rulang's Phase 2C application so far? Any website showing daily application asides to MOE? Need the breakdown in distance too *v anxious*
Can understand your anxiety. The best and most reliable way is to call the school directly to enquire at the end of each registration day to gauge your chances (provided the school wants to disclose). MOE website only shows the number of applicants, no breakdown by SC or PR nor number of applicants based on distance from school.
On a side note, Rulang has all along been a very popular school, so there is a strong likelihood of balloting within 1 km, just like last year. Hence if you are not living within 1 km of the school, it would be advisable to have a back-up plan. If you are, your child either gets admitted immediately or has to go balloting.
All the best!!

I don't think the family profile plays a part in the schools acceptance. After all this registration exercise is run by MOE, not the schools directly and online applications have no such profiles to fill out. The entry should be based on citizenship and distance as mentioned in MOE website.Just registered in person at SAJS. Not too crowded but i overheard the staff telling a pair of foreign parents that SAJS does NOT have phase 3.
My boy is SC, we live <1km, so i hope his chances are high.
But i was asked to fill up a family profile form.... wonder if that plays any role in the school's acceptance.
Most likely the school will ask all successful applicants to fill out the form at the point of registration and they asked you to fill out now so that you don't need to fill out later. -

Yes zac's mum, that will be useful if MOE allow it. However for now it will be great if we all help each other by updating on this tread any schools that we have contacted on the updates. Thanks in advance. -

No SG-born child of any single parent will be denied of his/her ballot chance, if there's balloting at all.
Aside: read this, you're not aware of MOE's financial assistance schemes.

Online form P1-IS requires you to key in the single parent's particulars.

Anyway, agree with you that no child will be discriminated agst by the school. -
Thank you jetsetter and grapevine.
I know SG gov does not discriminate against children coming from a single parent family (divorced or widowed parents). I hope it’s the same for unwed parents. The school just called me for additional documents (ie. marital records… and i don’t know why this is needed) and to sign a letter of undertaking.
The family profile form I filled up, i gather, will give the school an idea of the make-up of the cohort (if my boy makes it there). It’s a form by the school, not by MOE.
I’d really feel awful if my son doesn’t make it there because of me. He’s also a Singaporean child, no different from anyone else’ son/daughter.
Plus, the cumulative takeup rate doesn’t state how many % <1km, 1-2Km or >2 km, so i really cannot conclude anything if we don’t make it in. -

I second this, but this will be the one and only time i need, but still, real time will be good.. -
Latest update: Alexandra Primary Sch now has 90plus kids within 1km registered.
