Choosing and Evaluating Primary Schools

Within 1km, but must ballot definitely for TN

Nave:
Please do as your chance to even go for balloting in APS is very slim. Besides, CHS is a much more popular school than APS. A lot of people fight tooth and nail just to get into CHS. :roll:Thanks again for all the valuable feedbacks i get here.
I will think it over thoroughly before the P2C starts and weight all factors before making my decision. -
Nave,
Since your son has successfully entered CHS, why not consider staying put. Many have been trying hard to register their sons there.
Have you thought of shifting house to be nearer to CHS?
It’s very stressful to face balloting in phase 2C for AP, and the chance is slim. -

You will be facing balloting at TNS, while it SHOULD be smooth sailing
if you opt for Ngee Ann.
So it really depends on your appetite for risk. -
Hi all, we will be participating in Phase 2C next week and are considering Alexandra Primary (<1km) vs River Valley Primary (1-2km). Would like to get your opinion/feedback on these 2 schools, and which one should we aim for?
Many thanks in advance! -
Hi Syl28, choose the school that’s closer to your home. Your child will need to go on field trips and there’s also CCA after school, so transport will be easier and commute shorter if the school is nearby. As MOE says, every school is a good school

Both ALPS and RVPS will be oversubscribed for 2C based on past years records, so the nearer you are to the school, the better. For me, my son will be attending Alexandra Primary next year. Hope to see you around.

Hi anyone has evaluated Keming vs Princess Elizabeth Primary School before ? Both are within 1-2km.
Any comment on the above schools ? Thanks ! -
Thanks Jacsplace and Troychua79.
Troychua79 - Hope to see you around at ALPS too! -
Does anyone know if the number of applications shown in MOE website as of 27 Jul include those who registered online via P1-IS since yesterday (Jul 26)?
