I called up NCPS, for registration whose is within 1km to be balloted on 3august..and the lady advise to witness the balloting..and she say confirmed ballot.. Dun need to ask further.. Haha

Yes, big surprise. Nan Chiau's demand this year in Phase 2C is even more fierce than last year's! Last year only 166 registered after 3 days, while this year, there are already 168 applicants. I suspect that many of these applicants may be PRs trying their luck, so keep your fingers crossed. Then again, the whole Seng Kang area seems to be rather hot, with Sengkang Green also severely oversubscribed.

Whatever it is, if you are not within 1km of these 2 schools, it is time to execute your plan B.

If you are parent who registered your child in NCPS and is more than 1km, please do not gamble the chance that you will stand a chance to get balloting. Balloting is only for those within 1km and you are just wasting that chance at Phase 2C. If I were in your shoes, I would register my child in the nearest school near my residence in Sengkang. There is such a thing as waitlist. If your child is not the studious type, you will stifle the child’s learning.


Studying in a non-popular or non-branded school doesn’t mean that your child is not up to standard as those in top schools. It is the calibre of your child that matters, not the calibre of the school.

I think otherwise. 99.9% of the applicants are probably within 1km of NCPS. NCPS will actively discourage or turn away applicants > 1km.
