Hi all, I’m a new member who just joined. Interesting to see that a forum thread has already been started for registration which takes place in 2 years’ time, but I guess it’s always good to see the thoughts of various people and the schools they are eyeing. My #2 (boy) is within this cohort, so it’s likely to be an interesting time as we weigh up registration options.

Well you do need some advance planning if you want the following:
- Planning for PV etc
- Former students need to make sure they join their alumni in time.
- Religious affilation require minimum length of membership
- Look for the right location for your next home

- parent volunteer would probably close by now. For thise who wish to apply for PV, they would usually apply in January (the year when child turns 4)squash19:

- Registering for alumni should be applied next year before June.
- if staying near a hot school, be prepared for back up school if the preferred school has balloting yearly.
All the best. -
Pv registration deadline depends on school. Some schools take in application at the beginning of the year the child turns 5. If selected you start pv duties while ur child is in K1 till the mid of K2. So still not too late for certain schools. All the best!

But will it be in time to complete the stipulated hours required?
40 hours can be hard to clock in as there are other PVs too...back then I remember often calling the school to ask if they need any PV. Upon completion, I had to wait for the school to send me a letter which will qualify me to register under phase 2B. -

For the school I PV-ed in, we managed to complete the 40 hrs in a year. They have an active PSG that ensure all PVs are allocated enough duty to clock the 40 hrs. I was kiasu and started contacting the school when my boy was in N2, they turned me away and ask me to return when my boy is in K1. So, every school have different timelines for PV application. May not be too late for some schools yet for dragon babies.mom2ij:

Reporting here too. I have a boy girl twins. We have a few options on which school to go…either split them (single gender school) or put them in co-ed school.
I called up a girls school near us and they told me they only looking at PV for our batch next year. So still not too late for some schools. -
Hi all,i am newbie here.My girl was born in dragon year too.She is SPR and we are staying at Yishun.
I know that she does not have chance for Chongfu and Northland.
Yishun Primary is my first choice because it’s near my house.I studied from the last few years registration history this school does not need balloting.
Is it possible for me to get a seat for my girl under phase 2C.I am worry because there’s alot dragon baby.
Thanks.
