:?: :?: :?:

I'm researching about sleep deprivation in Singaporean teenagers for a CNA TV show. :snooze: :snooze:

We would love to hear from students and parents alike on the following points related to sleep:
- Do you/your child end up sleeping very late because of schoolwork?
- Would you prefer if school were to start at 8.30am-9.30am instead of 7.30am?
- What are some suggestions you might have for MOE so that our students get enough sleep?

Any other opinions you may have about teenagers and sleep are welcomed as well 🙂 :rahrah:

Happy to hear from students/parents who are from Eunoia's feeder schools (Cat High, SCGS, St Nics), Eunoia JC, and all other secondary schools and JCs in Singapore.

Please feel free to drop a note in this thread, PM me, or call/SMS me at Eight518Two187.

Thanks in advance!
:thankyou:
Belinda
What does design no. 2 look like? The grey bottom white top one?

http://i67.tinypic.com/mhug5g.png\">

This is #2?

A flattering blue-grey bottom with normal white top. Safe corporate colours.

phtthp: ochre and orange ones were in the old series. SNGS alumnae Sharon Au and styleXstyle designers gave their inputs and refined the designs later.

Grey and white looks rather old school...think there was a school along dunean having that combi. Wld be nice if they have korean styled slim fit design.
Ahmad Ibrahim has grey pants white top for the guys. The only school I remember along Dunearn was Swiss Cottage but their uniform wasn't grey and white.

I think njc, dunean and dunean tech used to share the plots where nygh and njc are sitting on now.

Besides Swiss cottage, there was whitey and Swiss cottage pri.

Old school is good. So avant grade for what? The more details you include, the more the students must pay for their uniforms.

Looks like my corporate colours. But wait, not really. Don't you think they look like they're wearing jeans with a white top? There's a type of blue-grey Levi's denim...

Or are they pinstripe grey bottoms...? :scratchhead:

http://i66.tinypic.com/sgim4l.png\">

Aiyo, those with better figure will shorten their hemline and fold up their sleeves to make it more tapered, like those Jap/Korean uniforms. These 2 models are EJC teachers, hence a bit fat.

I also like old school. If it is too fancy, it doesn't look like school uniforms.
Anyway, I think that the design fits the motto of EUNOIA, clean, neat, conservative, down to earth.
the design can be creative if it is for some Arts school though 🙂

Any experienced parents know if DSA CO into O level route can be converted to IP if the PSLE results is good?

Otherwise, is conversion possible based on Sec 1 & 2 results? Asking on behalf of my good friend DD

Hi guys, I have a son who’s preparing for his O levels and recently mentioned this JC as a potential choice. As all of you know, there is no cut off point so I’m not sure how to gage the standard of this school. It seems promising but I’m not sure if he should take the risk. What do you guys think?

I thought since it takes in IP students, it will still be a pretty good school, but I would like to hear your thoughts on this.
Also, she is from SST and is not a stranger to young schools. She says she wants to be a trailblazer for this school since she missed her chance previously XDDD

As you mentioned, there is no previous COP, so it is hard to gauge. We can only gauge the standard of the students from their PSLE T-score. Later I will search & post the t-score of the students that entered the IP programme in this cohort (ie entering Year 5 / JC 1 next year).

Btw, your post is confusing:

Is your child a boy or a girl?
1st you said you have a son . . .his O levels . . .
then you said she is from SST . . . She says she wants . . . she missed her chance . . .

Also, if your child is from SST, isn’t it a 6 year programme leading to a Year 6 exam, just like SOTA & Sports School, so why is your child taking O level, and need to consider JC as a potential choice?

SST is only a 4 year programme, not 6 years.

at end of 4 years : SST students still take \"O\" level exam.

it is NUS High that is a 6 years programme, not SST.

last year (2015 Psle)
girls entered CHIJ St Nicholas Secondary, at Cut-off-point 258, for St Nick IP (affliated to Eunoia JC),
girls entered SCGS Secondary, at Cut-off-point 253, for SCGS IP (affliated to Eunoia JC),

boys entered Catholic High, at Cut-off-point 253, for CHS IP (affliated to Eunoia JC).

from 2017 -
the first pioneering batch of JAE (Joint Admission) GCE \"O\" level students, will enter Eunoia Junior College (EJC).
By then, you will be able to know what is the official Cut-off-point, for \"O\" level students, trying to seek entry into EJC.
