daughter kind of moody last night…so I asked her to sleep early instead.

My gal was worried that the papers will be very tough. She even asked her bro to pray with her for easy papers.

My daughter was told to prepare for a tough math prelim today. Teacher told them it will be a combined paper for all the IJ schools, including St Nicholas. Asked her to do what she can...after all, the Psle will be for the whole of Singapore. No point worrying. -
Can I know that there will still be normal school during the few days before PSLE right?
-
Hi, my dd’s class was told to work hard for the prelims as it can be used for appeals later. Is this true? Cuz last yr was strictly no appeals, entry by cutoff only.

Yes, appeals do work, mainly for cases when the child happened to be certified ill or not feeling well on the actual exam day. -

Nowadays for appeal after S1 posting, candidates must meet the COP of the school they appeal. However, the school will probably look at other factors if the appeal # exceeds the # of vacancies they have: probably CCA, leadership, school results, awards, etc. - in other words, the candidate as a whole package.ilovelaksa:

Anyway, take the prelims as a trial for PSLE and try one's best. -

Yes, best to treat Prelim as though it is already PSLE.
For children who happen to fall sick on actual PSLE exam day, running a high fever, can't think clearly, properly for Maths PSLE open-ended problem-solving questions in Section B or C, they may need to fall back on Prelim results.
