Anything, really, as long as it's not technical. Whatever job someone with a Business or Arts degree could do is possible. Jobs my law graduate friends have variously done: tax consultant, corporate secretary, journalist, entrepreneur, tutor (predictably, English, Lit and GP), librarian, writer, actor, film sub-titler, civil servant, police officer. Some started out as lawyers and moved on, but some never worked as lawyers at all. And banks and commercial corporations often like people with legal knowledge in some non-lawyer posts.

Big MNCs now set up their own legal departments instead of outsourcing to legal firms.

there will always be lots of jobs for lawyers, be it practicing or in-house. in-house less stress, and more are going this direction.

how abt other areas ?
seem to my impression there are no lack of general engineers, accountants , law, art, sci , biz ,comp sci, banking/finance (a lot, can get private degree easily) etc grads

It has became a rather competitive environment esp for us, small country

shortage : Nursing ! Doctors ! but not all can do this

True, especially nursing but not many want to be nurse.
Singapore so small, so many grads, competition will be tough.

I thought oversupply of law grads already an old news? But people still continue to opt for law degree. One of my relatives couldn't get into NUS law so he was sent overseas to study law.

A law degree will always be popular because it trains the mind so the graduates can apply what they’ve learnt to other jobs.
