I have given daughter both past year exam paper and revision papers from assessment book…this way, I hope she would have some exposure to questions set by other schools and also some questions from assessment books. Don’t know whether it works, but at this point in time, i need to polish her MCQ and hope to bring up the marks for open ended.

Left with less than 3 weeks to PSLE, how to improve science section A? DS result has slide so much!

daughter's science MCQ results are not consistent too...have to get her to work on it WITH timing. PSLE is the REAL thing!!! 😓 :nailbite:

Mine too. Science results unpredictable . Her sa1 was pretty decent and in prelims dropped again. How to get full score for mcq , I think this can pull up the score , unlike open ended

if she can get full 60 marks for MCQ, it will pull up the overall. it's very hard to score in open ended.

most of the revision papers I've given her are challenging...but she can still score between 58-60 marks for MCQ under timed conditions similar to the exam.

Mine is a drastic drop from SA1 for MCQ… really worrying. Janet, for your girl to get 58-60 is an achievement! How does she do it?

darling, this is only for my work at home...if she can score 56 for school exams, I would be elated.

Janet, getting 58 to 60 over 60 or even 56 over 60 is very good to me (to my standard)..for MCQ, we should aim at scoring full mark ? :nailbite:

                        MrsKiasu,

If she can get 56-60 for her science MCQ, her grades will definitely be pulled up…of course she would need to put in effort in open ended section as well.

These few days, I am working hard on her open ended…especially interactions and lower primary.
