Mine is a drastic drop from SA1 for MCQ... really worrying. Janet, for your girl to get 58-60 is an achievement! How does she do it?

darling, this is only for my work at home...if she can score 56 for school exams, I would be elated.

Janet, getting 58 to 60 over 60 or even 56 over 60 is very good to me (to my standard)..for MCQ, we should aim at scoring full mark ? :nailbite:

          MrsKiasu,

If she can get 56-60 for her science MCQ, her grades will definitely be pulled up…of course she would need to put in effort in open ended section as well.

These few days, I am working hard on her open ended…especially interactions and lower primary.

I have mixed feelings now...on one hand, I really want this whole thing to be over soon...but worry if she has an exposure to a variety of questions and remember them.

I would be delighted if DS can get 56 /69. He seldom does, even for work at home. So far his highest record is 52/60. He can do section B better than MCQ :scratchhead:

how does he do it? it's hard to score in section B. :salute:

if my daughter can get 52 or 54 for MCQ, get 20 out of 40 for section B, I would be over the moon.

Janet, I do not know how he does it, just as I do not know why he can't do MCQ.

I keep telling my daughter it is so hard to score for section B...so she should be careful and to try for 54 for MCQ...every MCQ question is 2 marks compared to open ended.

Talking about MCQs, my dd always scores better in the math Paper 1 booklet A than Paper 1 booklet B (MCQs). :scratchhead:
