Hi all,

Does anyone know if Pei Hwa Presbyterian Primary will accept PV applications if we live more than 2km of school now, but will be moving to within 1km before my child's Pri 1 registration?

Anyone able to share what do they look for in Parent volunteers?

it's hard to tell what the school wants PVs to do. why not apply to be PV first and state how you can be of help? for eg, your availability, any experience working with kids.

Not all schools require proposal from PV, typically only the popular ones.

I don't think Rivervale Primary has such a requirement.

Do you know if the PV application for 2012 born kids are already closed?
Below what I find out from their website - only mentioning 2013 born kids
Have I missed the chance of trying?

For Singaporean and Singapore PR children born in the year 2013, the closing date for registration will be 31st July 2017.

The PV selection is not on a first-come, first-served basis. The school has the final and sole discretion in inviting shortlisted applicants for an interview, with the representatives of the school and members of the Parent-Teacher Association, which will be held in November/December 2017. We seek your understanding that the school will not be able to share with you the reasons for non-selection.

For NYPS:
The registration is closed for kids born in 2012.

Can we use the current address to application PV (>2km).

If PV apply approved, we then move the house to <1km address for 2B phase?

While there is nothing in the rules that say you can't do that, the popular schools typically won't consider you as a PV if you are > 2km from the school.
