Now waiting for their PV to open for registration.. Any recommendations mama/papa?? :please:

Kiasu newbie here but would appreciate your thoughts. I have a SPR dragon baby girl (born March 2012) and am starting to think of the best school and housing options for us for the coming years. Our lease is up for renewal next year and we want to move to a landed house for a long-term rent on the East Coast - ideally around Katong/Siglap, but we'd consider other areas if it makes sense in combination with school choice. What is the likelihood of getting a spot at one of these schools? Are they all likely to go to balloting or is there a sure bet among them for a PR, even if living more than 2kms away? Which would you choose? Any other pointers on the best combination of house location and choice of school?

These are all safe choices for SPR (even > 2km) based on past balloting trend. However, moving to 1km increased your odds and in the worst, worst case scenario, you still have a number of options from above.

You can work backwards. The last date for applying for PV to be in time for the 2019 intake is 1 July 2017, and you must have given at least 40 hours of voluntary service to the school by 30 June 2018 to be eligible for Phase 2B in 2018.

Call up the school you are interested in to find out more.
