after you get the membership, how easy is it to get a recommendation letter?

I was told that I would have to perform x hours of volunteer services for Hokkien Huay Kuan before they would write the letter.

Only SHHK members can be parent volunteers at Ai Tong, Nan Chiau, Tao Nan and Kong Hwa.


Does SHHK still issue recommendation letters for phase 2B?

Put in another way, for a SHHK member, would you choose to be a PV or just try to get the recommendation letter without the need to do volunteer work at the school?

Hi, there is difference between this 2? I am still quite blur regarding this... I thought in order to get recommendation letter, need to do volunteer work...

My child was born in 2012. We are staying out of 1km but within 2km. Desperately in need for 2 kind heart SHHK members to be my referrals to join. Will be really really grateful!

Too long ago, but basically it's filling up of your personal information plus when you became member (may/not have to include the membership letter), and most importantly, WHAT school you want to apply to - letters are specific to the school.

BTW, results will only be known AFTER phase 2a2, in some cases, they send physical letters, in others they either call/msg (?) you - as long as your name is on some listing with the school, you do not need to produce that recommendation letter (SHHK will send the name list to the schools directly).
