Thanks all for assurance... was a bit worried at his increased appetite :yikes:Oh My Gosh:
A bit off-topic... but seeking some opinions of P6 parents... DS is putting on quite a bit of kilos... I think he piled at least 10 kg over the last 10 months... he didn't snack much but has been eating a lot more during his 3 meals... is that normal? I know they say boys will shoot up in height in Secondary school but still worried he may end up overweight. Also he is only eating much more for meals and not snacking. Should I control his meal intake - he is not eating unhealthy fried food but soup noodles (however he is now buying big $5 portion)?
my son has been eating and sleeping a lot since p6...he is 16 this year. he can really eat and sleep :nailbite: started to shoot up in sec 1. he is not fat, but body is tougher. tees also seem to shrink. I worry whether his eating will lead to indigestion. he eats 2 bowls of brown rice for lunch and dinner. -

my son eats a lot and sleeps a lot...he is skinny but can feel his body is like an adult. during the sec 2 year end holidays, he shot up more than 5cm...taller than hubby now at 1.7m.
had to get several new tees and pants for him. -

Oh My Gosh:
For WL to be converted into CO : does it depend on Psle results performance ?
DS only have a WL so I told him he still have to work hard in case his WL not converted... :stupid:
Thought conversion of WL into CO : no need to depend on performance of psle results, as long as pass minimum Express requirement, but rather depend on the number of vacancies left, after those CO reject the school, thus giving rise to WL to enter.
If all CO accept : no vacancy arise, then WL won't be converted.
But, if some CO reject, then Yes, vacancy arise, hence WL gets converted
You also need to know : how many WL are offered, by the school vs how many CO reject, to know what's your chance like
However in the event nobody give up CO, all accept, then Yes, S1 posting will rely on tscore -
parents please ensure your child has sufficient nutrition and rest, I heard someone in DD class came down with high fever yesterday!!

Ammonite, you are right! The extra time given is not really sufficient as they are kids who are slow in their thinking process and thus need longer time.

too often, kids are stumped with math paper. Paper 1 only given 50 minutes, so each question is just 1 minute and have to move on. 18 math word problems will require time to understand and process the working. to complete within 100 minutes is not easy at all. -
Esp my dd has dyslexia, she needs longer time to read and understand the qns. Anyway, we focus on paper 1 to get the marks, dont want to stress her with paper 2.

focusing on Science MCQ. Paper 2 is an achievement if she can get 20 marks
