Suspect my DS wrote out of point. Plot too complex and tripped.

Oh My Gosh:
But which part is out of point ?happyheart:
DS write about telling a secret and causing one person to be dismissed from a position. He hinted in the compo that he realised he did the wrong thing. BUT...he never reveal what is the secret that caused such an impact! :slapshead: Is he out of topic or will he be heavily panelised ? I did not probe it or comment further. Just wanted to get a sense here

I am not an EL teacher or EL expert... but IMHO, what the secret is must be revealed in the compo. However, your DS did mentioned a good flow on the impact of leaking the secret and the bad feelings he has for leaking out the secret. So he is not out of topic. In my DS's EL teacher words, it is called \"slight off-topic\" not out of topic. Such compo will not fail but unless his content and grammar is strong, my DS teacher mentioned before such compo will not get very high marks, maximum 32/40.
Secrets supposed to be a mystery
Even in drama watched, even if Top management in a company is corrupted, lower salary paid personnel may not even dare to disclose truth that the fella at the top is corrupted, in case lose his rice bowl, or harm brought to his family members, if he disclose the truth.
So, don't see why you say is out of point, just because author did not disclose the truth -

So, don't see why you say is out of point, just because author did not disclose the truth[/quote]I find as long as he used one of the picture given, it should be fine. Secret did not need to be told eventually. But rather, what is the \"impact\" of leaking a secret and what is the lesson learnt eventually. -
I am also not an English teacher. But as a reader, will be curious to know what is the secret. Not sure what my DD wrote, she refuse to share.

Heard that PSLE Maths paper 1 is hard, some students cannot complete the paper. Is it hard?
-
Hope that paper 2 is easier.
Is the last question 30 easy or hard? DS left it blank, 2 marks lost.
