MyPillow:

Re : the light bulbs style of qn, vaguely, i recalled seeing them in abt P4 - they used traffic lights , trees, bushes , lamp post and pots previously . Lately i saw this qn appeared in p1 / p2 heuristics book (in house sch production)
      Really ah? P1/P2?

Like that cow and chicken or cars and motocycles and how many legs or wheels questions.

Niece time, she did such questions at upper primary. DD's time at P1/P2. Niece is 5yrs older than DD. Niece time, this kind of question high probability of it appearing during exams. DD's time, taught at P1/P2 and did not appear again in upper primary.

Math questions also got trend one. 😂
Just curious, this light blub question resemble a MO type interval questions?

        No.
Seen this type of question in P4 onwards till P6. Sometime, they use street lamps, flower pots. Sometime arrange in circle, square. Psle slightly tricky where they mentioned 3 sides only.

The more basic of this type of questions is introduced in some schools in P2 (including neighbourhood schools) ... after they learn topic length.
The recent published GLM P2 Maths Bite-sized assessment and Specimen Papers also has this type of questions. (eg pg 88)
ya, very common type of question. The kids can recognize with one look at the lamppost/pots/chairs/poles/ sticks.

Regarding the light bulb qns, really lah, I have come come across similar questions like planted trees intervals in MO books for juniors (8-9yo) so I thought that question is "simple MOish", as another forummer calls it.

Hello. I’ve just sat for both MT paper 1 and 2. Paper 1 is pretty manageable. Quite a lot of opportunities to use phrases. However, I was stumped a little because my vocabulary was not good, so that made it hard to explain some parts of the compo. Paper 2’s MCQ was actually quite tricky. A lot of options were similar. Booklet B was relatively okay, however the answers were very long so I spent quite a lot of time.
