I’ve never known any school to give definite dates for releasing exam results prior to marking the papers. So I doubt there’s anything MOE can do about this either. They probably have a hard deadline for the examination board: 28 November, but give you the possibility of a date as early as 24 November just in case they are able to get everything done and checked earlier.

Would you rather forego the chance of an earlier date, for the certainty of a later date?

my gut feel tells me it would be out either 24/25 nov. the release is unlikely to stretch into the last week of november.

Yes, I would prefer the certainty but I agree with Janet that it will probably be the 24th or 25th so that Open Houses can be held on the 26th. We have such an efficient government but yet they can't set a deadline for this? It is a milestone date for all P6 children and their parents and some of us need to plan in advance. To me, it's another example of how MOE plans things to suit someone in MOE, not the children or the teachers or the parents. Remember, the primary school teachers also have to come back to school as well.

Any one keeping track on how the accuracy of the ‘tentative’ dates?

The secondary school posting is tentatively on 21st December. Will it be safe to assume that the reporting day will be 22nd? Or any possibility that it may drag through the Christmas holidays, 26th?

Secondary school reporting day concludes the whole PSLE exercise for the P6ers right? After which would be the new school term on the 3rd Jan, correct?

The reporting day is always the day after the posting day (crazy but true). I don't think the posting day will shift after Christmas - that would be total madness. The most would be that posting moves to the 22nd and reporting to the 23rd but I think that is very unlikely given the proximity to Christmas.

After Psle results, the next thing would be that all important S1 posting via SMS and the mad rush to buy new books and uniforms. Our efficient MOE will ensure the entire Psle process will be over before Christmas.
Once the kids report to their secondary schools wearing their primary school uniforms for the last time, primary school education is officially over!

I just check the moe website, release of posting results via Sms will be on 21 Dec. Students to report to sec sch on 22 Dec. Hope this is confirm coz I can’t afford to take so much leave in advance. Results date I’m taking leave on 25 nov (just guessing) but not sure if should apply 24th too.
