There’s some tie-up with istudio last year, some discounts given for nygh students but I wont say its at student price.

      Think abt $70- $80 discount for dd’s 64GB ipad air 2?
Other models are available too with slightly different amount of discounts.
Oder through email to school but have to pick up from istudio ourselves.

sorry being a little gancheong here. For next year Sec 1s…

        1. is it nec to buy ALL the books on the booklist? I read previously some said the Science textbooks are not used at all
        2. If need to buy ALL textbooks, for Science, is it compulsory to buy the e-book or hardcopy?
        3. Since IP programme, what guidebook/assessment book is useful from popular?

          Thanks, Lego.

Was thinking of buying it when we are in HK for year end holiday.
iPad Pro (9.7\") there is about $100 cheaper than in Singapore, but I heard
it doesn't come with international warranty.

So if there is tie-up with vendor in Singapore, will probably get it locally.
Just consider paying the extra as purchasing warranty.

PS. just called Apple and was told that iPad purchased in the Asia Pac region will
have its warranty honoured in Singapore

When would we need to use the ipad in sec 2? Do we start from January or can we use it later?

Personally I would rather buy the older model.

With a new model, there could be glitches/kinks/exploding batteries that they need to work on.

However, I certainly won’t mind waiting till March since the older models will see a price
drop following the launch of a new model.

                Hi,
Regarding your questions, yes not all textbooks are used but they are good for revision.

You should buy the hard copy as teachers won't allow electronic devices to be opened in class anyways.

Usually for some subjects we would just take NYGH's past papers etc.

                Hope this helps!

                      thanks.
NYGH starts school at ~ 8:10am every morning, so if you arrive school between 7:35am to 8am, traffic is pretty allright. It is pretty congested around 7:10am as there are many primary schools around there。 That said, it is still managable as everyone seems to be very patience while waiting to drop off kids etc (probably everyone get so used to it). Traffic will get worse if it rains in the morning and if there is an accident. I love these few days as it is psle marking days, traffic's so good!
