      Hi

Do we need thick winter wear if we go to Tokyo in late Nov?

I was there early Nov last year. It was not cold at all. I did not need to wear any thermal or winter wear. But i heard from friends there that it was colder the week before. So weather can be unpredictable. Best advice is to check the weather forecast nearer your travel date. Most importantly, bring layers.

Read last week at ST that tsukiji fish market is not moving to the new site early November. Anyone has any update? I hope to still be able to visit the old site at end of the year.

                Here is my holiday plan.

11 Jan: Reach Tokyo-Haneda at 3pm (Shinkansen to Osaka)
12 Jan: Osaka (Osaka Castle, Ichiba Kuromon Market, Nara Park)
13 Jan: Osaka (Osaka Kaiyukan Aquarium, Shinkansen back to Tokyo)
                14 Jan: Naka-meguro (Yokohama, Sensoji)
15 Jan: Naka-meguro (Odaiba, Gundam Life Size)
16 Jan: Naka-meguro (Tsukiji Fish Market)
17 Jan: Shinjuku (1 day trip to Mother Farm)
                18 Jan: Disneyland
                19 Jan: Disneyland
20 Jan: Shinjuku (Hakone-Mt Fuji) (Planned for this as the JR expires and Hakone Free Pass is by itself)
21 Jan: Shinjuku (Last minute shop around before heading back to Airport, PM flight back to SG)

Not sure if we are able to reach JR Shinagawa and able to report at the train station for Hikari to Osaka. So we don’t miss the train. This is our first maiden trip as a family of 4. (2 adults with 2 young kids). Our plane will arrive Haneda at 3.30pm and having to clear the custom and exchange the JR pass, navigate and reach the train platform within 1hour. Or do you think I need to set aside 1.30hrs instead.

Some of the days are fixed whereas, still fine-tuning some day trips. Not sure if it’s worth to drive to Mother Farm for the kids to experience animal or driving to Hakone will be more worth? I enjoy greenery more. Or are there more kids friendly place you would like to share with me.

One more question. My initial intention was to go to Nissin Cup Museum but to my horror, my hubby was in opinion to go to Ramen Museum instead. If the two museum near by? His intention is to go there for the regional ramen.

                  Hi All,

Anyone knows how to book chicken ramen factory? Worry if we go there, it may be full. Thanks a lot.

Anyone can recommend what are the "must" go places for kids in Tokyo? Only have 4days in Tokyo where I already plan to go 5 lakes and nissen factory. Another 3 days will be staying at Sheraton bay. Anything to venture there as well?

                    Thanks for sharing.

The usual is disneyland and disneysea. And depending on age of your kids, you can also include Fuji Q highland if you are going to Kawaguchiko. Another possibility is Sagamiko for the largest winter illumination in the Kanto region. You can go there from Kawaguchiko on the way back to Tokyo. But to include Fuji Q highland and Sagamiko to your Kawaguchiko trip will probably require you to stay a night at Kawaguchiko.

Alternatively, Since you are also going to Yokohama, you can also go to Sagamiko after Yokohama and stay the night near Hachioji/Takao. Then next morning proceed to Kawaguchiko.
