eyktay:
My son is quite interested in all this martial arts stuff, so I think he will be signing up for it. His eyes twinkled when I told him about the noticeMiracle Child:
Anyone signing up for the wushu class?
Yes, we've been waiting for it, so Kenji will definitely go!
Are you signing up too?
he had thought that it would be like badminton where selection is required.

I had completed the form and attached the cheque for the wushu class. But I did not tell my son about dropping it at the GO since I thought there are a few more days before the deadline. However, today he went to GO by himself and submitted the form....so enthusiastic

Hi,
Its been a while since I logged on to the forum. So nice to see this thread alive and well.
My boy went for the 2nd selection and was disappointed when he didn’t make the cut. He is happy now that he found friends to play badminton with during recess. Luckily the wushu letter came a few days later. He is so excited, he is jumping up and down when he told me he can join wushu. Kept bugging us to issue the cheque, which we finally did on Wed.
Can anyone tell me when the English test is? My boy only wrote down the units tested in his buddy, but no test date…Thanks. -
English now uses Textbooks? Or are you talking about Reading Rites? Well, I guess the new sec1s are so much diffrent from the sec4s now!

flee0308, think you posted on the wrong section leh. This is the Primary Sch Section. Most of us are talking about Primary 1s. -
The 1F boys are having lots & lots of fun playing badminton. My son started bringing his badminton racket to school end last week & every morning, he would bug at us to hurry, hurry to get him to school first & still gets upset that we have to drop his sister off first cos her school is nearer. They try to squeeze in whatever time they have to play even 5 minutes before Morning Reading or immediately after they finish their food during recess. They learn to share their rackets in the process. My son says some just sit or stand & watch, the more active ones play then there are others play catching. It is heartwarming to hear about how they have settled down & going about their activities besides schoolwork.

Valsboys, not sure that about the Eng test date too. By the way, my son told me there was Eng Oral last week. Not sure if it was practice or for real.

Morning Honey,
Talking abt badminton, my boy has been bugging me to allow him to bring racket to school in which I refused cos I thought he's just joking when he said he plays badminton during break time.. In addition, I felt it's rather cumbersome and he's very careless when handling his personal belongings. But seeing your feedback, I'm having second thoughts now.. I will give him a surpise tonight by allowing him to bring racket to school tomorrow..
