Hi I am interested to find our more about the in house after school student care centre. Anyone knows the contact number and who is the operator? Thanks.
phtthp:
Students in Rgps come from diversified income background, as students entered by the various Phases : ranging from Phase 1 (sibling), through Phase 2A (ex-students), through Phase 2B (Parent Volunteers), & Phase 2C (nearby residents, staying less than 1 km).Go to school:
I'm just wondering why no SCC nearby RGPS? In-house SCC will be only take in 30-50 students.
And I heard that priority gives to low-income family ( I really doubt there is low-income families for RGPS girls  )
by the end of Phase 2C -
Rgps is full-house, all seats snapped up, via balloting.
Phase 2C Supplementary, is thus not applicable
Diversified, because Rgps was established on 4 March, 1844.
Today is 2016 ==> Rgps is 172 years old. Have very thick, rich history.
(2016 - 1844 = 172)
history of Rgps
http://www.rafflesgirlspri.moe.edu.sg/about-us/history
For several generation & past decade(s), parents came from all walks of life.
We have children studying in Rgps, where they come from wealthy, royal-blood aristocratic kingship family, from neighbouring countries.
We also have children from rich, privileged families, whose parents are distinguished, reknown Doctors working in the Medical, health Sciences industry.
In a recent past year -
the P6 Head prefect of Rgps ( GEP pupil) :
was the daughter of a famous, Reknown brave, courageous Doctor hero from Tan Tock Seng Hospital, who in the course of fighting SARS break-out back then years ago, sacrificed his life.
And her grand-father too, happen to be a very famous & honored late Doctor, in the field of medical crime, post Mortem analysis.
This pupil has grown up, now in RGS Secondary / Raffles Institution.
We also have children, from average, middle-income families.
some children also grew up in poor families (1970s), with their fathers being the sole-bread earner feeding a family, & they are the pioneering batch of GEP students (1970s).
Today, they grew up became mothers, some working as Medical professionals, and they send their daughters back to Rgps alma mater, to study.
Rich, average or poor : doesn't matter, as the children enjoy studying together side by side one another, grow up together supporting & encouraging one another along the way, having fun.
Some form very strong bonding friendship buddies, choose to go to the same Secondary school together study up to GCE \"A\" level, & then enter university, together.
for parents (2017 P1 to P6 students) who Are interested to send their child to this new SCC (Student Care Centre), located within the school compound (Hillcrest), internally -
can check with them whether this SCC only provide basic simple \"nanny\" service, or also provide tuition service as well, for the various subjects. -
Hi there,
For those with older kids in rgps, hope you can help shed some light…
Do Primary 4 students have to stay back in school often? Like, for any HCL lessons etc…? Coz there has been some changes to DD’s enrichment classes, so I may need to change her lessons to weekdays (starting 2017), but not sure if she would need to stay back in school (besides CCA) often or not.
Thanks in advance! -

Hi,
May I know if anyone knows the total vacancies for phase 2C this year? The breakdown like within 1km, within 1-2km & more than 2km? I have checked the school website but it’s not updated.
Any parents went for the ballot, care to share? TIA. -
