hi parents, we are staying in the east and heard that there is a school bus service to hwa chong. greatly appreciate if anyone can share contact/info on this (pickup time, rates etc), thank u!

There is a private bus that takes students from Bedok reservoir area to HCI. Pick up time is about 6.15am at Clearwater/Aquarius/Bedok Res View. From here it goes straight onto the PIE to HCI, so other areas might have earlier pick up time. Rates are based on distance, we pay about $120 /mth.

There will be a bus service coordinator on registration day for you to enquire the bus service from your area.

My ds is now Sec 2. Yes, the Phy and Chem textbooks are for reading materials. While the teachers provide notes which you need to print from the IVLE website, the textbooks come in handy for additional reading materials for revisions. For the first 2 years, the school will cover many topics on Phy and Chem - only 3 topics on Bio are covered over the 2 years.

Not compulsory. ds has some presentations to do but they can be borrowed. he doesn't need a personal one.:)

I have a question regarding the College Section here dk whtr anyone can help with it:


I heard when I was there that those taking CLEP will usually takes 4H2s & 1H1 or 3H2s & 2H1s subject combinations, and take their H1 GSC paper at the end of year 1.

But is it true that the H1 GSC taken at the 1st year suffice as the second CL content-based subject as stated in the requirement for offering CLEP, that these students will not be prompted to take H3 CLL at year 2?

A parent with DD interested in taking up CLEP asked me this, but I have no exact idea on this as I took Science stream there
