Can someone shed light on taking triple science in sec 3 and sec 4? Is biology difficult?
i can only share with you what my son tells me- which is that there is a lot of content that requires memory work in Bio. In his class, some take Bio and some don't. for the boys who don't take Bio, they have free periods during which they are supposed to go and study/ do homework while their classmates are having Bio lessons. -
hi parents, we are staying in the east and heard that there is a school bus service to hwa chong. greatly appreciate if anyone can share contact/info on this (pickup time, rates etc), thank u!

There is a private bus that takes students from Bedok reservoir area to HCI. Pick up time is about 6.15am at Clearwater/Aquarius/Bedok Res View. From here it goes straight onto the PIE to HCI, so other areas might have earlier pick up time. Rates are based on distance, we pay about $120 /mth.
There will be a bus service coordinator on registration day for you to enquire the bus service from your area. -

Hi,CarMom,
Hi maple leaf,Maple leaf:
Hi, 2016 Sec.1 parents,
I found this Sec.1 booklist:http://www.hci.edu.sg/uploadfile/s1reg/S1%20BOOKLIST.pdf
Do yr DC use the O Level Physics or Chem txrbk as stated in the list? :?
TIA.
My ds is now Sec 2. Yes, the Phy and Chem textbooks are for reading materials. While the teachers provide notes which you need to print from the IVLE website, the textbooks come in handy for additional reading materials for revisions. For the first 2 years, the school will cover many topics on Phy and Chem - only 3 topics on Bio are covered over the 2 years.
:thankyou:
Will get him the 2 txtbooks this weekend. He had a long holiday since PSLE was over.

Hi,Song22,
My DS says he is honoured to be offer a place by HCI so he gladly accepted it.
Can tell he likes HCI very much, He didn;t \"follow\" his best friends.
Just hope he can cope well.
BTW.,do they need to get Laptops next year? Just wondering.
