Euthanasia, are you for or against it?

It is challenging to put a conclusion as it depends on the situation.
Euthanasia = assisted dying? -
Worry about abusing the method = killing?

Very interesting topic. If we can agree that the choice of life/death is a right to every human, then the issue of euthanasia will likely arise from cases in which the person to be euthanised has no ability to make an informed choice or has no ability to convey his choice (e.g. brain dead patients).
Whether family members can make that choice on behalf of such a patient is highly debatable. One the one hand, keeping such a patient alive imposes emotional/mental/financial suffering on the family members. On the other hand, the patient might still want to live on, except that he/she is unable to communicate such a desire. Very contentious stuff but nonetheless good topic for discussion/analysis. -
I think it’s a good option for those with terminal illness of coz we need to have some regulations. Sometimes it’s better to go peacefully than painfully.

I think euthanasia is likely to be legalised 20 - 30 years later else many countries with rapidly aging populations will not be able to cope with the provision of nursing care (in terms of facilities and financial social support fund). So I will have a chance to see this thing comes true.
My ideal take is anyone can opt for euthanasia when he is still sober under condition, like to elect it in the event that he is bedridden / unable to communicate for more than 12/18/24/etc months after trying to recover.
Personally, my husband and I gave the family the instruction of in the event that any of us is bedridden, the max period that is allowed for home care is 12 months. After that period if still condition remains, then just send to facilities to free everyone to live their own lives as normal as possible. -
Good point.
