Haha! Thanks very much jacsplace! We can possibly get the LO into the RGPS too.... but I personally have my reservations on sending my kid to the first tier schoolsHi Dolphine,
The previous principal of this school told me that it's because parents consider it a second-tier school (first-tier being schools like Raffles, Henry Park, etc). So basically if parents cannot get their child into the first-tier school, then they'll look at second-tier. I thought this very strange too but I guess it's good news for the rest of us who want our kids in SMPS

Hi,
Can I check if SMPS conducts Open House every year? If yes, normally, which month did it take place?
I can’t find any info on its Open House on google or its website.
TIA! -
No open house. They have a day where ascension kindy bring their kids over to visit but otherwise no open house for the public.
Do other primary schools have open house? I thought only secondary schools have them… -
Thanks Kspassing for sharing..
Do u know how the traffic flow works for parents who drive to send & fetch their kids b4 & after sch? I don't find any parking lots near SMPS though. ..
Thanks!!!

When dropping off your girl in the morning you are encouraged to just stop on the right hand side, allow the PV to open door and help your child to close the door then you drive off. It’s a one way road so best to just drop and go. Lots of adults looking out for the safety of the kids.
When picking up the parents tend to park along the right side. Be ready for jams. Some parents die die must double park and will kena horned at if a big truck wants to go and they are blocking the way. Then they will have to move and go one big round.
Suggestion is that you go after 1.45 when there are fewer cars. Less frustration.
The only time cars are allowed into the school compound is if it is raining in the morning. Then the second front gate will be opened and cars can drive up to the shelter to drop their girls.
Not sure about raining at dismissal cos normally all the buses are inside waiting to pick the girls so no access for cars.
