      Kee Kor:
It's a relieve it's over. Results are ok but fell below DS's choice school. What's the chances of appeals ?

According to latest MOE policy, strictly no appeal unless pupil able to meet the Sec school's cut off point.

However, if your dream school is within 5 points, still put it in, as one of the 6 choices. If this year overall cut off point fall, your son may still enter. Key qn is for this batch, will the school COP go up higher, or fall ? You never know.

Perhaps another way out, is to encourage your son to do well for Sec 1 & Sec 2, then seek Transfer to his dream school at end of Sec 1, or Sec 2. Your son not only must be good academically, but also display good behavior, good Cca record, before seek Transfer, because during Transfer into another Secondary school, they don't just look at Sec 1 or 2 grades only.

As a local, try to Transfer latest by end of Sec 2, before Sec 3, because foreigners will come in, at end of Sec 3.
(If really Transfer is indeed the last resort out)

My dd is very happy with her result. She exceeded the non-affiliation cut-off for her affiliated IJ school. ๐Ÿ™‚

My Daughter will be going back to her affiliated secondary IJ. Normal academic.
She was very happy when she saw her name as having 'the most improved results'.

        Well done! So happy.!
        :congrats:

Congrats, Janet! Knowing that she has the best improvement, your daughter will be motivated to do even better in secondary school knowing that she can do it! :imcool:

My DS is taking PSLE next year. He has improved much in SA2 as compared to SA1 this year. He is personally encouraged to work harder next year.

hubby and I are pleasantly surprised she made such a big improvement.
but credit belongs to hubby because he has been coaching her for science and math...her english subject is outsourced ๐Ÿ˜‰ i made a comment to them while we were having enjoying yoghurt at KFC...'looks like daddy's method of teaching works on you. ok, next year, he will continue to coach you for math, science and geography.' :boogie:

It will be indicated in the S1 option form if you are eligible. I think for the Cat 3 3rd Language, only the top 10% is eligible, so it depends on where the top 10% COP is for that year. May differs from year to year.
