What do you mean average? Average in 1st class? (24++) or average in level (20+)
If the 1st, I recommend both CGSs, and NH

Terms such as "average", "good" etc are subjective and can be quite misleading.

The distance between the sec school and home should be one of the deciding factors too.

Thanks for above messages! She is RVPS. Average at the whole level. T score, eh, maybe 220- 240 :?

                Hi all :

I have been introduced to this forum when I voiced my concern about my son’s choice of sec school to a colleague recently. I gather from my son’s academic performance he is likely to fall into above T score of 215 - 225. Can anyone help me if you know of secondary schools around Bukit Batok upto Bishan area that may be a good choice for him ? I did a study for my daughter few years back but her T score was 227. There is a good chance my son may not reach that and hence the schools we explored can no longer be relevant. My biggest focus is a good school discipline and a structured stable system in place to coach average kids. I am a working mother and need badly for my son to be in a school that is safe so he does not get into bad influences, further distracting him from his studies. Thank you so much all !

Hi I am very sure many parents in this forum have heard of the merger between balestier hill and Beatty right ? Being a previous student of balestier hill I have something to tell all of u . There’s definitely some teachers who are transferring to there . A few that are teaching in my level will be gg there too. Here’s the review of the teachers (in my own opinion) : senior teachers are more caring . During my current 2 years in balestier hill (2015-2016) , there has been one young teacher Tt my class and quite a few class she is teaching , certainly hated her to the guts. If ur planning to post ur child to Beatty just pray hard . If this teacher does not like the student , she will bully the student (isolating , having really bias attitude and more ). Because of that some of the students in my class really hated her. So far the teachers are alright but she one of those kind that is best for ur child to avoid . Adding on to that she even set quite a few of her exam questions wrongly (like there’s error in the question itself ) , this was spotted by tutor and my mom almost lodged a complain to MOE . If there’s any further questions about the school , I am glad to reply and share Thks

                      hi huimin,

You can access last year PSLE COP info here:
                      http://www.fa.edu.sg/2015-psle-cut-off-point-2016-sec-1/

You may take a look at the schools of COP of that range.

For your child's case, you may consider Mayflower if you stay near to AMK area. Or you can let us know where u stay so we can give you more suggestion.

                      Cheers

Power up your future with high quality small group tuition.

May I know if your child PSLE score is 1 or shy from 2015 COP… Will you give a try and place the school as first choice?
