How about Outram Secondary?I'm in need of guidance of what secondary school to choose in The Central and west zone area for COP 223-228. Key considerations : well disciplined environment and dedicated Teachers. My Son was very disappointed with his result. As parents, both my husband and I are very hurt to see our son's dejection over his aggregate. We saw a change in attitude and maturity this year, so we would really want to help him choose a school that can give him a good start into secondary school. He is mild and that's why we needed a conducive environment for him.

My dd is very happy with her result. She exceeded the non-affiliation cut-off for her affiliated IJ school.

My Daughter will be going back to her affiliated secondary IJ. Normal academic.
She was very happy when she saw her name as having 'the most improved results'. -

I have a feeling this year's COP is going to be like last year's.bsk:
Just got the results. My girl got 252. Any chance of getting IP
Congrats!
Depends on how the rest of the cohort did.
Last year COP of a few IP schools were close to this score,
River Valley - 253
Cedar - 254
Temasek - 253
So if COP this year is lower, then your girl has a good chance. -

I agree with Ikid. No harm to give it a try. Anyway, Sec 1 semester 1 is like honeymoon period.
Learning 3rd language basically depends on your child's interest. Also consider the MOELC for various language, i.e. German is at Bishan, is your child able to return home from Bishan on his/her own if the parents are not able to fetch them? Some students tried for a year and dropped it in Sec 2, some tried for 2 terms. If your child is keen to try, why not? Your child may want to use some language app to see which language appeal to him/her. 3rd language can be a joy for some but a burden for others, depending on your child's learning attitude. Wish all who consider 3rd Lang all the best. You never try, you never know.ky:
Hi mummies,
Which 3rd language is better? French, Japanese, German or Spanish?
Is it too heavy to take 3rd language?

Does anyone know what is the COP for EESIS this year?
262 for this year -
hamsterwheelmom:
That's because you are not comparing COPs of the same year. You may like to compare with the 2015 S1 COP listed on the post1 website.
why are these COP numbers so different from the ones posted here?Future Academy:
Hi all, here is the information on

I have a feeling this year's COP is going to be like last year's.[/quote]Ceteris paribus, COP seldom change by huge numbers for the popular schools (the neighbourhood schools may have drastic changes depending on the flavor of the year). Usually around +- 2 points. So there's always an opportunity/threat if you are borderline.BigDevil:

If the COP for a SAP school is 258 as published, must the T-Score be 258 or can be 256 +2 (as in Merit in HCL)?
