DD 266+2. NJC or RGS ? Never go to RGS open hse because didn't expect my DD to score above 255. Anyone can share your RGS open house exp? Is it a stressful school? Any feedback on NJC vs RGS? She is offered EESIS, is this only for 1st year if she chooses an independent school? Thanks
The EESIS is for 4 yrs if she is on O-level track, 6 yrs if she is on IP track. -

It was so sad hearing students cry about PSLE results! At such a young age... Sigh.
Congratulations to all parents whose wards did more than they expected of them. Good that someone remembered to look at the other direction too. Importance of the T score is paramount, why not - how to get a good secondary school without it. However in cases where kids get so called poor scores and see disappointment is their parents' eyes, they are too small to realise that it is but one of the many ways their real worth is evaluated. They are only 12 for God sake. The world has just started opening up in front of them. They are about to discover many aspects of their personality that they never knew even existed. Good luck to all - 260 pluses and 250 minuses. -

Congrats on your DD's excellent results. RGS is a very good school n it will be a waste if you don't try. It's not easy to get a score of 266 so I am sure your DD is able to cope with the highly competitive, enriching n challenging circulum from RGS. It's also not easy to get into RGS and a lot of students want to get in.
BTW, I am not promoting RGS but I have seen the 'end products' of the school and I believe it's worth having an education in the Raffles family of schools.
Thanks for your advice. RGS is a definitely 'the' dreamed school of choice. However RGS seems to be very competitive :scared: ( based on the COP). Worried that my DD cant cope in RGS. How's the RGS teachers' support there? We heard NJC has very good teachers support and their class size is only 21 for sec 1. -
hi,
Am getting conflicting advice from friends and friends of friends…
If DS got 257, would it be "risking his chances of getting into Anderson" if we put RI (cop: 261) as 1st choice and Anderson (cop: 247) as 2nd choice? -

After collecting her results, my daughter came to me, crying. My first thought was, bad news...
But hers was the tears of joy.
Her best friend followed closely behind, was crying very badly.
I was at a total lost of what to do next, and what to say to her!
Imagine if this happen to our own kids...
Only thing I can think off then was get both my girls to give their close friend a tight hug...
As I don't see her parents around, I had to let her stay with us till she calms down, before letting her go off with their domestic helper, and her brother...
The kids are stressed out. -

Congrats. EESIS is for 6 years but needs to have good conduct.
Thanks. So with good conduct, EESIS will auto renewed by itself? How about her academic /grades throughout the 6 years in IP? Does that affect her EESIS ? -

No risk. Anderson is unlikely to have a huge jump of +10 or even +5. RI is a very long shot though.hi,

You will not jeopardise your chance if you put Anderson as your 2nd choice. Unless, you already qualified and got into your 1st choice.hi,
