Bus 156.hamsterwheelmom:
My son received a 255 and is NOT ELIGIBLE for SAP. We live in Bishan. What schools should he consider?
There should be direct buses from Bishan to Malcolm.jetsetter:
I live in Bishan too, and my daughter goes to NYGH, which is right next to NJC.Actually, why not consider NJC or ACS? There should be direct buses from Bishan thru Lornie Road to Bt Timah, right? It's actually very near you know. Many Bt Timah students commute via this route to RI/CHS every day.
Explore MRT too.
There is bus service 74 that goes to NJC but you will need to get on/off along Marymount Road.
Alternate route is to take the Circle line to Botanic Garden and switch to a bus for 5 stops.
Can also switch to Downtown Line 2 from Botanic Garden and alight at Tan Kah Kee or
6th Avenue station. Need to do a bit of walking though since NJC is right between the 2 stations. -

From Bishan to SJI (Malcolm) can consider MRT (Bishan-Toa Payoh) 2 stops, then take bus 105, 153 (3 stops), should take around 20 mins in total compared to taking 156.hamsterwheelmom:

He took Malay/Hindi/Tamil?
You can consider SJI (IB or O level) but it might be relocating to Malcolm in end Jan 2017.

From SJI to Toa Payoh need to take from the bus stop outside Raffles Town Club (40231), reachable via overhead bridge near Tanglin CC. Take bus 105, 153 and alight 4 bus stops later (52181) opposite Toa Payoh MRT Station.
From Toa Payoh to SJI need to take from the bus stop outside Toa Payoh MRT (52189), take MRT exit C, walk pass Cheers / Old Chang Kee and you will see the bus stop. Take 105, 153 and alight 3 bus stops later outside SJI. -
