Hi

My gal has 252 and we stay in Kovan. Besides Cedar, there are not many girls' school COP that are lower than her score.
Having a hard time choosing the school.
Thinking of SCGS but it is too far.

Anyone can advise. Thanks.

ngemily, it would help if you specified if you are looking for IP school? Or are you ok to consider O level? If your child takes Chinese, she will also have a wider choice of schools as there are a number of SAP schools which could potentially be suitable.

Hi
Is the first choice very important? If you want the school and can meet the COP. can we put as second choice?

my choices are:
1. SCGS IP cutoff 254 ( my gal's top choice)
2. SCGS o level cutoff 252 (my top choice, but worry COP might go up or not)
3. Cedar o level cutoff 250 (wanted to try IP but cutoff 254)
4. ??? St nicholas o level cutoff 254 ??? (don't know which school to put)
5. Paya lebar cutoff 247
6. CHIJ toa payoh cutoff 247

I need advise whether my options are sensible or not.
Thank you.
What about Crescent Girls?
NEL to Dohby Ghaut, change to 111 and maybe 132 to Tanglin Road.

Hi ,

Could anyone advise if we should put\"River Valley High\" or \"SCGS\" as the the 2nd or 3rd choice? :?:
Is it compulsory that we must fill in our 6 choices?
Thank you!

It depends on which school you prefer. The computer will run through your list of choices and give you the first one you are eligible for, and where there is still a vacancy. Any choices below that will be ignored. The advice is to fill all choices just in case, but I don't think you have to fill all the spaces. But if there are no vacancies in any of the choices you put down, MOE will use its discretion to post you to whatever school still has vacancies.

Finally submitted last night after much deliberation with my son…LOL, we didn’t visit any school at all. Purely based on public info, 6th sense and distance considerations (try to keep below an hour travel by MRT/Bus). Thought only 1 chance, didn’t know can have 1 more edition allowed before 30 Nov 3pm.

We have not made our choices yet.

DD’s first choice is about 45mins away on a smooth traffic. DH’s preferred choice is about 15mins away.
I am torn between the 2.

I feel u, we are in same boat. We submitted (longer distance school as first choice) but still wondering if should change.
Torn....that's the word.

Distance is really a pain esp in morning rush hours. most sec sch req students to be in sch before7.30am
unlessyour childhas great love and passion , else it is tough. the crowded after sch hours is also tiring to squeeze with the working adults. my child has full sch hours for 4 days per week -academic n cca

爱上学的孩子,就是会自己起床。

(Kids who love attending school, will wake by themselves)
My boy overheard this from an auntie at the bus stop at 6.15am in the morning.

Raining mornings are the most horriblee as traffic jam cause buses to slow down.

50min one way, my boy does his work or nap on the bus.
