Chesterlg16:
I thought of enrolling my son in CHS, any parents can advise on this...is it stressful studying in this school. Is a O Level track. Thank you.
Not stressful at all. Even IP track also not stressful.
The school has a nurturing environment and supportive teachers.
Students are also not competitive towards one another. There is very good camaraderie. -
For O level track, can robotics club consider as CCA ? which means just take one CCA, rather concern with coping with CCA and School works at CHS.
-
The cca points are important to o level track. Its 2 bonus points!

All the clubs are considered as 2nd CCA. Thus, they should have 1 core CCA besides joining any club. -
Which means at CHS, you must have two CCA for O level track? IP track only need one CCA?

No, all only need 1 cca for O level and for IP.
What snggy meant is, Robotic is a Club, so still need a core cca.
If your DS really wants to do Robotics, then he needs to have a core cca on top of the Robotics. -
Ya…Minimum all kids need 1 CCA. But Robotics is not counted. It can only be a add-on. An example would be having 2 CCAs - one is scout and one robotics. But it cannot be only Robotics. Not allowed, I think.

Oh ok…I got it. Thank you so much! I have put CHS as first choice but because we did not go for the open house, I am not sure of certain things and I am rather worry if CHS is too stressful.
-
No worries about not attending the open house.
You may come here to ask for advice if you are not sure of anything. CHS parents are a bunch of friendly, helpful people. Hope your DS gets into CHS & welcome to the family. -
May I know if the boys are allowed to wear track shoes to school, if so, what colour can they wear ?
