DTx:
I went to Nan Chiau and the same thing applies. What is going on with some of the SAP schools? Only taking in the best and not even considering educating the children within the school?

      grow and glow:
Hi. What happen to CCH students who are unable to cope with HCL? Do they get to take Chinese as 2nd language?

Unless you want to consider nearby Anglican High? This sch is on the other extreme. I went to its open house. To do HCL, students must pass a diagnostic test??!! :whut: Isnt this telling parents he school discourages HCL? To think this is Chinese background school too. :scared:
Maris stella, and even chij st nick O level ,higher chinese is not compulsory for lower sec. It's depend on students' decision and result.

Hi, dear parents, may I ask if this year Sec 1 classes are allocated based on students’ academic results (PSLE T scored)? Or it’s just a random assignment? Thanks in advance for any information to be shared.

                    Hi,

Per my son’s batch last year, it seem not. Only those did not take higher chinese, will be group under one class. Understand from him, his batch got 3 classes that students did not take higher chinese. Those in music elective will be in one class. Maybe, you can check with their teacher where there will be one session arrange this month.

Thanks much for sharing, Monster Mummy. It looks like 2017 S1 intake not allocated based on T scores as well.... No TD class mentioned neither. We notice that there will be a common test in mid Feb though... Guess we will find out more from her teacher when we are going to attend the first teach-parent meeting in two weeks' time. It seems like the school practice has been changed over the years.

I think that during my son’s batch is already not allocated according to t-score and no TD class. Not quite sure whether it is new principal. This year is also parents been informed all the month by month school activites. No worry. Your child will enjoy the school life.
